Sunday is the only day the foundation is officially closed. The dogs rest up just like most of the staff. So I also took a day off and tried to recharge by strolling along the sea.
It is very important to protect your mental health in general but even more so if you are responsible for others.
I cannot imagine how the staff manage this through days of tragedy, long weeks of caring for the dogs, months of trying to get them adopted, years of fighting national politics.
All while the cages are constantly being filled up again with used Galgos.
